My photographic idols in order of my discovering them . . . Andy Warhol, David LaChapelle, and Cindy Sherman.
I've more recently discovered André Ostier's masquerade and "la vie parisienne" photography. His photography has inspired my Halloween costume--a recession-tastic costume--that only requires crafting my own mask and pairing it with a sweet dress from my closet (another blog post, entirely).
Oh, almost forgot . . . Annie. Leibovitz. Love her. She can capture an element of anybody's personality (which I strive for), it is entirely about the subject in that moment and nothing more.
Having the Obamas as your models, doesn't hurt either, I'm sure.
